This episode captures the warmth and enduring spirit of the Expo and the memories it continues to create.

The second episode of “Piece of City” explores the printing-specialized district spanning Jeong-dong and Samseong-dong in Daejeon. With roughly 500 to 600 print-related stores and factories, this area is known as one of Korea’s three major printing streets. Unlike typical industry competition, the district thrives on mutual support and coexistence. Though the printing trade faces decline, the people here continue their work with quiet dedication, believing it to be their true calling — a spirit that this film seeks to capture.

The Piece of City series is a brand film project rooted in urban regeneration, capturing the hidden value of neighborhoods we often overlook in this fast-changing era. The first episode tells the story of Soje-dong, a neighborhood near Daejeon Station. Just across one block, newly opened cafes and upscale restaurants line the street, while on the other side, a 40-year-old laundry shop and a 60-year-old barbershop still remain. Through the lens, we captured Soje-dong’s unique charm, a quiet and timeless balance found nowhere else in the city.
